It was a joy to visit and pray with Zan Tyler, LifeWay's Homeschool Editor, finally meet in person Sally Clarkson, of WholeHeart Ministries, and have a good old-fashioned "girl talk" with other Ambleside Online moms, Lynn Bruce and Kim Neve. Christmas 2004, back home in Louisiana, with a much loved uncle and aunt. Rev. and Mrs. Patrick M. Guice. They began their Southern Baptist ministry together in 1952. Uncle Pat pastored eight churches, planted three, and built a Christian school, still in existence in Northeast Louisiana. Oh, he also officiated at our wedding 22 years ago!
Mr. Dana Tillman, of McKinney, Texas, teaches homeschooled high school students the
Worldviews of the Western World by David Quine. It is a three-year honors course based on the work of Dr. Francis Schaeffer. On Saturday, February 19th, 2005 all weekly classes of Years 1-3 attended the First Annual Worldview Ball. The time period this year was the Reformation/Renaissance. Period dancing was an enjoyable adventure, and two of the guys even demonstrated a fencing match! It really is possible to strive for excellence and achieve the goal. A beautiful night!
